Sights and excursion destinations in Klagenfurt
This is located directly in front of the town hall and is the actual center of Klagenfurt. In 2008, Neuer Platz was redesigned and modernized according to the plans of the renowned architect Boris Podrecca! The Lindwurm is also located on Neuer Platz!
Fantastic colors, numerous details and an interesting story behind the pictures make a visit to the Fox Chapel unforgettable! Prof. Ernst Fuchs spent 20 years designing the St. Egid parish church!
The Landhaus was built by Hans Freymann and Johann Anton Verda. Worth seeing is the coat of arms hall with 665 coats of arms of the Carinthian provincial estates, governors, vice-governors and provincial administrators!

The castle was built in 1652 by Count Johann Andrä von Rosenberg as a pleasure palace with extensive gardens! In 1708, after a fire, the castle was rebuilt in a simple form and the Maria Loretto Chapel was rebuilt!
In Minimundus - the small world on Lake Wörthersee, around 140 of the most beautiful models of buildings from all over the world are presented on a scale of 1:25! And if technically possible, all models are made with original materials (marble, truff, lava basalt…).

Grado - a seaside resort for the whole family
The distance from the Alpen Adria Hotel to the town of Grado is 176 km, a maximum of two hours by car!
The seaside resort of Grado is very popular with families with children. The fine sandy, shallow beach and shallow water up to 50m from the shore make it the perfect vacation destination for families!

By the way: Just a few kilometers from Grado is one of the most beautiful cities of the former Austro-Hungarian monarchy: The port city of Trieste on the Adriatic Sea right on the border with Slovenia is recommended for a day trip! Tarvisio - a landscape to fall in love with
The distance from the hotel to the town of Tarvisio is 35.7 km and 30 minutes by car!
Tarvisio is one of the most beautiful and wildest landscapes in the Alps. The 24,000 hectares of forest provide a protected habitat for countless plant and animal species!
The Tarviso market is also very well known. Even in the 1950s, when there was still a shortage of goods in Austria, the Tarviso market was visited by countless Carinthians. Later on
Hungarians, Slovaks, Czechs and Poles come to Tarvisio for shopping!
Winter sports also play a major role in Tarvisio. There are numerous cross-country ski trails, alpine slopes and a ski jumping stadium. The Alpine Ski World Cup was held in Tarvisio in 2007, 2009 and 2011!
